Six success factors for your career
- I've been looking at people for years and trying to work out what makes one person successful and another person doesn't. There's quite a lot of research into this as well. I'd like to suggest that there are six factors which you could work on which would help with your success. If you're lacking in any one of these, then it is really something that you need to work on and develop. The first one is to have clear goals. Now we've already talked about these earlier on in the course, but you must have clear goals about where you're going. It will reduce any tendency for laziness or for staying in your comfort zone. It gives you something clear to aim for. It makes you more self-disciplined. It makes you more assertive. So having clear goals is the first success factor. The second one is personal effectiveness.
