- You may already have some ideas about the duties an engineering manager might face in their day-to-day work. But then again, some of these might be new to you, so let's learn a little bit more about them together. As a manager, you're going to be sort of generally responsible for the work that's assigned to your team. Don't worry. This doesn't mean that you're expected to do all of the work that falls through the cracks, but you're going to need to check in on the status of tasks assigned and help make sure that they're being done.
