- How do we get in an investing mindset? As a long-time financial advisor, I've experienced with this with almost every client that we've worked with. It's natural to be insecure about the investing decisions that you want to make and want to invest, but where do you start? The best place to start is literally just to start, but who and how you start with is so important. I remember my first investing experience, I was just 19 years old and I had made a little money on my first small company and my accountant told me to get myself to the bank to open up an IRA.
