- Running a remote workshop has similar needs to running an in person workshop. You just need to approach these needs in a slightly different way. Let's look at some of the main points. First of all, make it clear that you're in control. You demonstrate this before the session starts by contacting everyone and showing them that you've got it all planned out and you have expectations about how they behave. You start the session by laying down the ground rules and explaining how to use the technology. While you're talking you want all eyes on you. So don't create unnecessary things to compete with like busy slides full of bullet points or documents with lots of information.
