- As you improve the value of your time, you regularly want to do a self-review of your progress. One review every three months will probably be enough. Begin by asking two questions. First, did I increase the value of my most valuable activities? And second, did I improve the percentage of time spent in my most valuable activities? You can easily answer these questions each quarter by recompleting your Discover Your Most Valuable Activities Worksheet. Compare this quarter's answers with the previous quarter's. Remember, the value of your activities reflects how much it would cost to pay someone else to do those same activities as well as you can. If you're continually getting better at those activities, the value of them should increase over time. Also, your value is determined by how much time you spend in those MVAs.
