- When we're leading global teams, even in normal times, we usually have limited opportunities to travel and get face-to-face with our people. When we do travel, we need to create maximum impact and use the scarce time to engage our people. As a contrast, you may have seen managers who fly to a location, spend all day in meetings with their peers, and then leave without engaging their local people. They might as well have joined by video. Whenever you travel, think about the things that are hardest to do remotely. There are many ways to share information.
