Triple E gap analysis

- In this course, I have shared what I call my Triple E model for driving sustainable change. The Triple Es are to enable, empower, and encourage employees to embrace the change and to succeed in sustaining the desired change outcomes. But before you take off on your change efforts, I have an assignment for you. Conduct a gap analysis using my Triple E Preflight Checklist. Let's go. First, we have enable. Now remember, to enable means that the right processes and systems are established and are capable enough to enable employees to execute the change and to do so with ease. Next, we've got empower. To empower means employees have the authority and the means to exercise control over their own work in order to achieve and sustain the desired change outcomes. Remember, managers, this means you might need to do some self-reflection about your own power and delegation habits. Finally, let's revisit encourage. Like we said before, but I'll say again, to encourage means there must be alignment in how everyone is encouraged to perform. Metrics, KPIs, and rewards should be in total alignment organization-wide, and don't stop at the borders of your own department. A handout containing the full checklist is in the exercise files. I hope you find it helpful. In this course and in this handout, some concepts and tools might be foreign, or you may just need a quick review. Check out some courses here on LinkedIn Learning. Some of these include Operational Excellence Foundations, Six Sigma Foundations, and you'll see a couple other ones that will really set you up for success. I hope you've enjoyed my Triple E model for sustainable change, and I'm grateful for you spending your time here with me. Thank you and good luck.
