Types of remote teams

- Remember, if you have even one remote team member, you have a remote team. But not all remote teams are created equal. Some remote teams are everyone. There is no office, everyone works somewhere else. Or perhaps, like me, you have a hybrid team, a team that some people come to a space and work together, but others are never there or rarely there. Perhaps you're the one separated. Everyone on your team is together, but as the boss, you're the one working remotely. Or lastly, sometimes. I mean, everyone has a desk, but not everyone's always there. They're on a customer site, they're traveling two days a week, they work from home one or two days a week. Again, in every case, a remote team, in every case different, but in every case, we must accept that as the remote leader we will have to leave lead differently to get the results that our organization needs and that we want. My challenge to you is to think about one leadership habit that perhaps you already know you need to change if you want to be more successful with this remote workforce and take a step today to get better at that habit.
