Understanding confluence

- There are some marketing channels that, while they're quite potent, can be hard to scale. For example, advertising is kind of hard to scale. You have to pay money for it, you have to reach an audience, it has to effectively convert. Search engine optimization, great channel, but you've got to have a lot of content and you've got to have a lot of time to make that content mature. Sales can be a hard one to scale. You may need to add individual bodies to get more reach through sales. Now, each of these channels can be great channels, and many businesses have been built on these channels alone. But to scale, you want to think about adding the power of confluence to these channels. The idea behind confluence is that these channels are better when they're done together, or at least you think about the ways that they naturally work together.
