- Don't you hate it when someone is giving you feedback and says you always do this, and you say when did I do that, and they say I can't think of any examples. I hate that. You have to prepare folks, and part of preparation is coming up with examples so you don't get into a yes, you do, no, I don't thing with your people. When you're in person together, you have some time to talk it through, and you can see the social cues and respond to them. You're also right there in the room together, looking at the same report. You are literally on the same page. You can linger in a certain section and talk it through and probably come up with specifics if you need them. When you're remote, you don't have that luxury, so you have to take the time to prepare and find specifics. Here's an example of not having an example. You're never proactive.
