- Not everyone can be Michael Jordan. There are more team members on the court. These team members set the stage for superstars like Michael to shine. Michael Jordan can't take on an entire team all by himself. I don't think, and your best superstar team members cannot carry the entire team on their own, which is why it's so important to value your mid-performing team members. Mid-performing players provide consistency. While M.J. may have had great, iconic, incredible, mind-blowing games, sometimes he didn't. Mid-performing players are generally more consistent, steady and reliable. Middle of the road performing players provide stability and act as an anchor.
