Welcome and what you will learn in this course

- Looking after our physical and mental wellbeing to help us perform at our best in the workplace is a subject being discussed more and more, and rightly so. It's a subject that's been ignored for generations. And in the world of sales, it's a subject that's discussed even less. And this applies to salespeople of all kinds: new business hunters, account managers, business owners, consultants, anyone who is in the search for revenue. Sales people are meant to be confident, brave and resilient, and nothing can knock us off our strike to success. However, the idea of looking after ourselves first is often brushed under the carpet. Even though it's a job that can really take its toll on you through constant stress, regular rejection and competitive workplaces, targets need to be hit, money needs to be made, and then to do that, salespeople need to ooze confidence. And because of that, we naturally hide anything that might make us appear weak or not in control. So combine our natural instinct to hide failure and add targets, competitiveness, public performance measurements and an expectation to be confident and successful, and we can often end up spinning out into anxiety, depression, burnout and more. Hi, I'm Miles, and I'm a sales professional and prospecting coach. I've worked in sales for a long time and I've seen people have massive successes and crashing failures. I've seen successful salespeople work themselves into the ground, have breakdowns in the office, fall prey to depression and just quit before they were about to do so well. And at times, I've experienced some of those myself. I've created this course to shine a light on the subject and help other salespeople, both new and experienced overcome the four main areas salespeople's happiness and wellbeing is heavily impacted. So, building resilience to rejection, overcoming sales anxiety, avoiding sales burnout, and staying motivated through the tough times. This course is deliberately broken apart so it could be picked up and put down at any time when you're feeling any of those set in. So, I hope to see you in this course so we can start improving our happiness in the sales profession together.
