What to do when your boss says you need to be more decisive

- With the pace of business today, decision making can become erratic. We might find ourselves making impulsive choices in the heat of the moment or, the other end of the spectrum, feel so conflicted about an issue that we procrastinate and delay making a decision altogether. Either approach can be problematic and could limit your career. If you've been told by your boss to work on your decisiveness, here are four things you can do to be seen as more confident, self-assured, and quick on your feet. First, put decisions into perspective. When we're in a rush, everything seems like a crisis. Stop and think about the significance of the decision. Is it urgent? Could it have major consequences over the long term? How many people does it impact?
