- All right, let me ask you a question. Who loves asking for something and then hearing no? Yeah, not that fun. But if you're asking for work flexibility and your boss says, no, that's not fun either. But I'm going to give you some tools to keep those hopes and dreams alive. Now, let's assume for a second that you've done all your research, you know the business case for asking for remote work or work flexibility, you understand the benefit to your team, you know how to manage it and measure it, and you've done all the prep work, and they still say no, what do you do? The first piece of advice I'd give you is to dive into the details of your proposal and ask your boss specifically what part they didn't quite get or didn't agree with.
