- So you know you want some work flexibility in your job, but you're not exactly sure where to look for a formal policy. Is it an a handbook? Is it in some of your onboarding emails? What if you don't have a handbook? Where do you look? Now, if you're unsure, you're not alone because studies have shown that most of the types of work flexibility that are at organizations are ad hoc and really just a conversation between individual employees and their supervisor. But before you go knocking down your boss's door asking about it, let me give you some first stops for you to look, to see what exists currently. Now, I was joking about the handbook.
