- [Instructor] All right, let's start by talking about why direct mail marketing works. First of all, it is a time-tested method for acquiring new leads. In fact, over the years, ever since we started in this business, it has been our best lead generation marketing strategy by far. Number two, it's relatively inexpensive and costs can be as much or as little as you want or need. Now, I know a lot of you right now probably don't have very large marketing budgets, and that's okay. Start with whatever you can. Maybe it's just 20 letters a week, 25 letters, 30, whatever it might be. Figure out what you can afford right now, and then eventually you want to grow and increase how many letters go out on a weekly basis, especially after you do your first deal.
