Why evaluate participant reactions?

- So, you've created a training program and you're excited to get it going. And that's great, but it's not about you. What you think about your training program isn't as important as what your participants think about your training program. So, what you really need to find out, or at least, build in a way to find out, is what value participants got from your training. Step one in evaluating your training is to get a pulse and a reaction of the participants. Did they like it? How do they feel now? This is a pretty basic evaluation, but it's also common and it can be useful. But you have to know how it should be used, and frankly, the limits of what it gets you.
