- The process of prospecting always takes longer than you anticipate. So the focus needs to remain in the areas that count. Remember, there are only a certain number of hours in the day. So for every hour spent on a prospect that is not the right fit is an hour lost on a prospect that is. Now, there are simple techniques for managing your time, and we'll be going through a handful of those throughout this course. But I suggest you watch as many time management courses as you can, because it's a tool useful in any field, particularly with salespeople, and even more so with effective social sellers. So for now, I'll just leave you with my single biggest time management tip, which is sorting your sales activities into the important versus the urgent.
