- If I had told you 10 years ago to lead with your heart, you'd probably think I'm a big softie and maybe incapable of being a tough and resilient leader. But business is changing, and people are open to new styles of leadership. Being a leader through challenging times requires more than grit. You have to be a leader that others can follow. Many times, people hear heart and leader and think soft, but this couldn't be further from the truth.
