- You may be familiar with the golden rule in customer service: keep a positive attitude. It's true, you need to positive attitude at work, especially when you're interacting with customers, clients, and coworkers. A bad attitude can lead to upset customers, poor online reviews, and heated interactions, but how do you keep a positive attitude when so much has changed in the customer service landscape? New regulations, understaffing, backorders, long wait times, and frustrated customers. When you're my consulting client, this is one of the first topics we address. There's a number of strategies that work. Here are the ones that we find work best with our clients. First, if you can, take an hour before your shift and focus on you.
