Not just about money

- We tend to think of negotiations as being about money, but quite often, they're not. Quite often, they're about other things. Like being asked to do difficult work. So it's about the type of work we do and the pressure we're put under and when it's got to be done by and whether they'll give you a budget, will they give you the people you want? So negotiating can affect how much you enjoy your work and how much you achieve at work. So this example, I think, applies to a lot of us in all of our jobs. We're almost always negotiating with our managers on the type of work that we accept. So let's have a look at how you can negotiate when you're being asked to take on a difficult project.
