- [Narrator] Social media is very popular. It has invaded every corner of our lives and has changed many aspects of how we live, what we believe, how we spend our time and what we think is real. When you see a gorgeous, very fit person on Instagram leading a seemingly perfect life, it is easy to be impressed and maybe even a little envious. The problem is what you are seeing, your perception may not be at all accurate. It may be a carefully edited, perfectly posed photo that depicts what the poster wants you to think not the reality. It's becoming harder and harder to recognize reality that may actually be great or it may also be misleading. When you interact with others you need to be aware of their perceptions of situations, experiences and people. Perception is the way you see something based on your experience.
