Well, adopting a disruption mindset and behaviors is like making a New Year's resolution, and just as with a New Year's resolution, you can use rituals, symbols, and stories as constant reminders to think and act in a different way. Rituals create a sense of belonging, tribe, and inclusion because it's a shared experience full of meaning. If you feel like you belong, you feel safe, and when you feel safe, you're more willing to take risks and be disruptive. For example, at online shoe retailer Zappos, new employees finish their onboarding with a scavenger hunt to meet people all around the company.
