- One surefire way to get over being disappointed in yourself today and overcoming rejection is to do something today that's going to make you proud of yourself tomorrow. This is an easy and surprisingly effective habit to start. Start by writing down every single day three things that if you do them today, you'll be proud of yourself tomorrow. And then tomorrow, check back and acknowledge. "Oh, look I did those three things. I'm proud of myself." I did two of those three things or I did one of those three things or maybe I didn't do any of those three things, but I'm going to try again today. Noticing the behaviors that make you feel pleased and proud of yourself is noticing the behaviors that are going to make you successful in life.
