The remote leadership model
- Alan has been a successful leader for a long time. So it was no big deal to him when the company decided to allow people to work from home. And it was no big deal when there was a reorg and his boss said, "Hey, a couple of the folks from the mobile plant are going to report to you now." Alan thought, "I know all of these folks, I know their work, they know me. I've got this, no big deal." Then the IT department brought him some new technology to use because he was now a remote leader. And he said, "I don't need these tools. I've got this."
