- Oh, the illustrious sprint. It's such a good word, isn't it? The sprint. It just sounds fast. And that's the beauty of it. A sprint is a fixed number of components delivered in a fixed amount of time. Generally, a sprint goes down over a couple of weeks. To determine what will be moved from the backlog, or your to-do list, to the sprint, or your doing list, the team needs to conduct a sprint planning session.
