- What is leadership exactly? You don't stop to think about it, though you're doing it every day in the midst of your to-do list, in the midst of juggling the expectations of all those people around you, in the midst of figuring out how to lead a team that's remote, we don't stop to think about that super important question about what is our job really. And when we don't understand it at its core, we may miss something important. Let me tell you about the three O model of leadership. The first O is outcomes, as a leader, we're moving people towards a desired future state. Our job as a leader is to help people get to a desired outcomes. Leadership is about other people. We bring others along beside us. We help others choose to follow us in the service of those outcomes. But the third O is important too. And that's you. The third is ourselves, who we are as a leader, plays an important part in how we reach outcomes…
