The value of deadlines
- You know what makes a good data project? A done data project. That's right. The most important thing about a project you're doing is that it gets done, and ideally, that it gets done on time and under budget. The only way that happens though is if you track the various stages of your data project, that either you or your team are doing. This includes data collection, data cleaning, data analysis, iteration, and the preparation and sharing of the deliverables and how data brings value. All of these things need to be carefully monitored and tracked in order to make sure you hit your goal. After all, if you don't keep track of it and you don't set deadlines, it probably won't get done when you want it to.
