Accessing arrays with pointers

Accessing arrays with pointers: Learning C
Accessing arrays with pointers: Learning C

A pointer can reference individual array elements. To access each element, the pointer is first initialized to the array itself, then incremented to access individual array elements. To access a specific array element, add the element number to the pointer. Array notation is similar to pointer notation in that array elements are the same as offsets added to a pointer. When accessing array elements, enclose the pointer math in parentheses, then use the asterisk operator.
