Introducing C code

Introducing C code: Learning C
Introducing C code: Learning C

The simplest C source code is the dummy, which includes only the basic parts of a C program. The main() function is required for all C programs and is the first function run in the program. It's followed by a set of parentheses and a set of curly brackets or braces. To build upon the dummy, the main function is typed as an INT, or integer, function. The main() function returns a value to the operating system. The return statement sets a value to return from a function.
