Adding area loads

- [Instructor] This is all pretty easy from here. We can place an area load a few different ways. One is to be physically hosted to an element. The other is to sketch the area load. In this video I'd like to place a hosted area load. So jump into the model you've been working in. We can either be in an analytical model, or we can be in a physical model. Both are basically the same thing, just with our visibility graphics different. 'Cause notice when we zoom in here, we can see our boundary conditions in 3D. So I'm going to go to Analytical Model 'cause it just makes it a little easier for me. On the analyze tab go to the analytical model panel. Click on Loads. Now notice our forces, we can change them right here. If we have Fz one, if it's a negative value, it's going to be coming down. And if it's a positive value, it'll look at it as uplift.
