- Okay. Let's look at some more connections. The first one I'd like to add is a base plate. Now, the really good thing about this new functionality is the fact these connections know what they're actually connecting to. So means if your column changes size or shape, so of the base plate. Let's do it. Jump into Revit and add a base plate. under models let's go new. Template file. I'll grab metric structural templates. I'm going to click okay. In the project browser under structural plan, let's go to level one. On the structure tab, click the column button. Let's see here. Add a concrete column, 300 by four 50. That's fine.
