- Okay. Let's look at some more connections. The first one I'd like to add is a base plate. Now, the really good thing about this new functionality is the fact these connections know what they're actually connecting to. So means if your column changes size or shape, so of the base plate. Let's do it. Jump into Revit and add a base plate. under models let's go new. Template file. I'll grab metric structural templates. I'm going to click okay. In the project browser under structural plan, let's go to level one. On the structure tab, click the column button. Let's see here. Add a concrete column, 300 by four 50. That's fine. Just kind of zoom in to where we are placing it. Depth can be unconnected 2,500, that's fine. The point here. Hit escape a couple of times. Let's go back to column again. This time we will add maybe two or three by two or three by 53. I'm going to make sure that we're centered right…
