Adding a custom decking profile

- [Instructor] Revit comes preloaded with several different Decking configurations. Of course that's not enough. Let's make the family, shall we? It's a pretty easy one, but very functional to say the least. I'd like to configure a simple profile, loaded in to our model and applied to our floor slab as a decking shape. To get started, lets jump in to Revit. Under Families, lets go New. I want to scroll down till I find Profile. I'm going to select it, and I'm going to click Open. Now notice that we have two reference planes to begin with. I'm going to offset this one to the right, and I'm going to offset this one, up. So to do that, I want to right click on this vertical reference plane and I want to Create Similar. On the Draw panel, click the Pick Lines button. Give it a four inch offset. We simply just click in to the Offset dialogue and type in 4" Offset it to the right. Now for my offset, I'm going to type in 1.5" and hit Enter. Offset this reference plane, up. And then hit…
