- Well, we can't physically model everything in 3D, right. Although you can model items such as poor steps and structural connections, it'll take forever doing it. It is perfectly acceptable to draft these items using detailed components. So in Revit, let's open up structural 45. Let's make sure that we are in the typical connection detail section. First thing we need to do is indicate a break here and here. Let's jump over to the annotate tab. Let's click on component right here. Don't ever put a beam in like that. Oh, no. Click load family. Let's scroll out of this directory till we find detail items. Then we'll click on that. Let's go to division one general. Let's grab that break line and click open.
