Join Chanté Bright for an in-depth discussion in this video Adding parameters to components, part of Revit 2020: Interior Design Project Management Techniques.
- [Instructor] I'm now going to show you … how to add on parameters to a component … so that they can be used when we are doing our schedules. … In this particular case, I'm going to add a few parameters … onto my door, that I can then use in my schedule … that is going to be used specifically for this purpose … of this renovation project that has multiple phases to it. … So the first thing I want to make sure I do, … I can actually do this one of two ways, … I can either click on the Door … and add it into the door itself, … or I can add it into the project. … So I'm going to come up here and go to Manage, … and I'm going to go to Project Parameters, … and I'm going to click on Add. … Inside of here, I'm going to add on some yes, no parameters … that I'm going to add to this door. … The first one is going to be whether or not … the door is going to be demolished. … So I'm going to type in demolished, … and I'm going to do this as an instance parameter, … I'm going to do it per door instance. …
