- [Instructor] Once again, we're in our 00-GND-1031 SE Madison.dwg file. And we're going to take a look now at how we utilize the area tools and the "Measure" command in AutoCAD. So, you can see I've zoomed to the extent of the drawing this time. And what we're going to do, we're going to zoom in on this top left area here. Can you see the circle there where the table is in the room? We're going to measure the area of this room minus the area of the table. Now, we go to the measure drop down like we've done before in the "Utilities" panel, and this time we select "Area" from the drop down menu. And now it's prompting you to specify your first corner point. Now, what's really clever here is you can go around an area picking each of the points around the perimeter of the area. But you can also add and subtract objects to and from the area that you've selected as well. And it's a really nice feature. I really love…
