- When arrows are properly drawn and labeled, they make storyboards easier to understand and more useful to production. So let's take a quick look at how to make the most of your arrows. So let's take a look at this quick little scene here. This is from a 2D animation. You see the arrow in the top left is enveloping the character. That generally tells you that it's the character moving and not the camera. So any time an arrow is over any object, that tells you something. And you can see that the arrow overlays the witch falling in the last frame. So we know that that refers to the witch. So let's take a look at how this could mess you up if they're not labeled or drawn properly. So here we have a character standing in the middle of the room. It looks like he's standing still or he could be running. In this case, he's standing still. Now, if we put the arrow over here, what does that arrow mean? Could it be…
