Art directing sunlight with a directional light

- [Instructor] The advantage of using a directional light to emulate sunlight is similar to that that we gain by using area lights over the windows to emulate the suffuse illumination from the sky and environment. Using a directional light, in this case, is going to give us more control. We'll be able to art direct the image. And we can achieve a cloudy day just as easily as a sunny day. Let's do a rendering of the setup that we have currently. Click in the camera_lounge view port, go into the menus and choose Arnold, Render. What we've got here is a directional light providing sunlight, and a backdrop that's merely providing a background image. And the backdrop is not contributing to the lighting solution in this case. Once that's completed, let's store that as a snapshot, and make sure that interactive production rendering is not running. Now, let's set this up for a sunny day. Go into the Outliner. Windows…
