- [Instructor] Here's the hard part: adhering to the standards. Everything we looked at in this course looked great. Technology has certainly driven our industry into another direction, hasn't it? The thing is, we have lots of people who either aren't buying in, or are just accidentally missed the BIM bus, to no fault of their own. They're either busy doing the actual work or running the company. It's important stuff. So now, really, we need to look at how to actually make sure the standards we spend so much time on, actually stick. This in the career-long task. So what I'd like to do, is take a look at some of the CAD Lead tasks on specific projects. The Cad Lead's going to set the project up. Every file, every tray, they're going to set it up before any kind of meetings even happen. Then we're going to kick the project off. The thing is, you don't need a project manager to do this stuff. Reiterate the easy stuff in the meeting. Borders, drawing scale, folder locations, deadlines…
