The BIM manager
- [Instructor] So now we have the BIM manager. Again, one size certainly does not fit all when it comes to a firm and their use of BIM. I find that firms that work with clients that demand BIM are usually further along than companies with clients that don't. Not always, but usually. Also, this individual's role can be from managing smaller projects all in one company, and perhaps just one trade, to managing huge projects amongst multiple trades and multiple parties involved. So let's take a look at a typical BIM manager. Is it the CAD manager you promoted? It could be. I used to be a CAD manager. Now I'm a BIM manager. Chances are, your BIM manager has been around for a while and has managed systems for quite a while. (laughs) They need to be patient and easy to deal with.
