- Currently, all industries are working to understand how to better use information as an asset. Facility owners and manager definitely belong to this group. Facility management, called FM in the industry, is a profession that encompass multiple disciplines to ensure functionality of the building by integrating people, place, process, and technology. Because previous methods rely on 2D models to display all known information, updated versions are now required. For this reason, BIM models are ideal as they allow not only 3D design presentation, but also analysis, in a way that makes research into assumed problems more manageable.
