- We brought virtual reality in on this project, because it was something that the owners had requested. It was something that they had experience with before and saw the value in it. What we've done on this project is we've taken the design models from the architects and engineers, we've worked with them to make sure that we've got the right materials that are going to be the actual materials used, applied that to the model, converted it to a format that we can view it in virtual through one of these virtual reality headsets, and then brought the users in to actually experience some of the spaces that they've been helping the design team create in their user group meetings to actually visualize those through virtual reality, and we've found that architects and engineers are pretty good at looking at a set of plans or documents and seeing what that space is going to be like in 3D.
