In this video, we discuss the cost of buying and maintaining consumer level filament printers. Buying a few or many small 3D printers requires you to set some priorities. There are several routes to take depending on what's important to you. If materials cost is critical, and you can handle some staff time to optimize prints for different filaments, you may want to go for low cost open printers that don't require proprietary materials. Filament printers in this category run from a few hundred dollars to several thousands depending on features, size, and how much support you'll get.
