- [Instructor] Having seen how we can take control of typical beauty pass channels in a compositing based workflow and add simple tweaks as and when needed, what I want do in this chapter is dive a little deeper into some of the other render element options that we have available, and show how with just a little bit of work, we can take control of almost any aspect of the scenes and objects that we are working with. First of all then, we will spend a little time on our promised closer look at the automated matte or mask creation options that we have in V-Ray Next, these being the various id options that are open to us, the multi-matte materials and objects, elements, as well as crypto-matte, and so we will dig a little into just what these tools are and how they work. After which, we will consider a few of the other potentially useful elements that we have available such as the extra texture and zed or z-depth options.…
