Choosing render output file options

- [Instructor] The most fundamental properties of a rendering are the resolution of the image, the file type, and the file type specific options. And also the path to which the images will be saved. Let's go into the Render Setup dialog. And it's a teapot with a little gear on it. And we're not dealing with the renderer type yet. We just want to set some parameters here in the common tab. I'm going to start by just rendering a single frame. And as we saw earlier in the course, we can change the output size. And that's the resolution. And that will in turn effect the aspect ratio, or the proportions of the image. I've got Safe Frames enabled in my physical camera view with the Shift + F keyboard shortcut. And that means that the non-rendering areas of the frame are cropped off here. I'll change the width from 640 pixels over here, to 854, and press enter. And that changed the aspect ratio. And we see the image aspect listed here. So that's the size; the resolution of the image. Scroll…
