- Now that we've come to the end, I encourage you to keep practicing and work on memorizing the formulas that you'll use the most in your trade or practice. Keep the other formulas on hand for reference by saving them on your tablet or your smartphone, or add them to a spreadsheet. Just remember, if you don't know what numbers to enter and you don't know which formula to use, the calculator isn't going to help you. And remember to keep those units straight. I also touched on reading construction drawings or blueprints.
