- [Instructor] It took me awhile to get used to the way Autodesk likes to do rebar. It always seemed pretty straightforward to me that when you select a concrete element, such as a floor or a column, you should have the choice to simply turn on reinforcing. Certainly there are many different combinations of reinforcing, ranging from placement to sizes to overlaps and splices, but I think there could be a dialogue for that kind of stuff. (chuckles) Well, there kind of is. In this video, I'd like to explain how Revit deals with typical reinforcing covers. In Revit, I'm going to browse to where I'm keeping my Exercise Files, and I'm going to open my STRUCTURAL model. I'll click Open. In the project browser under Structural Plans, make sure you're in LOWER LEVEL. Zoom in to column line two, I guess. And I like this area right here.
