- I've discussed some of the benefits that offsite prefabrication brings to individual projects, but there are some benefits that over time could result in improvements to the entire industry. In a factory environment, there are more opportunities for continuous improvement. Those opportunities just don't present themselves that much in a traditional onsite construction environment. And even when they do, we oftentimes are just not in the position to capture them and capitalize on them. - We have a automation department that also is part of production control. We also have a product development. And our product development, they always seem to come up with these wild ideas that, can we put this on this panel? Can we incorporate this on a panel? Can you do this with windows and a little bit of metal and a little bit of that? And it's kind of neat because we call them prototype mockups. And at first I was a little skeptical.…
