Converting units of measurement
- One of things I provided in this course is a sort of cheat sheet that contains some commonly used conversion factors. It also contains the formulas that I cover throughout this course, so you can quickly reference them later. But for now let's talk about those conversion factors. Throughout this course, you'll hear me say repeatedly to watch your units and make sure they match up. Now I used to hear my math teacher say this all the time, and I probably never paid that much attention to them so it's a little ironic now to hear myself say it over and over again. But it comes from years of seeing people get incorrect answers because they're multiplying two numbers when one of those numbers is in feet and the other one is in inches, you can't do that. You can, but the answer you get will be absolutely wrong. This just means that in many cases you'll need to do a little work on the numbers before you do the actual math. In…
