- [Instructor] To frame one beam into another beam, you need to cope around the flanges. There are two ways to do this. One is the traditional coping command and the other is by creating an opening at the end. We'll look at both. To get started, let's jump into Revit. And I'm going to open Structural-44. Let's make sure we are in Typical Connection Detail under Sections, Building Section. Let's zoom into this area here. The first thing we need to do is select this beam. Notice that it's pinned down. That's because we put it in as part of a beam system. Click on that little pin. Now, notice we've got these little grips. Click this one and let's drag it over to here. Hit Escape a couple times. Go to the Modify tab and let's click the Cope button right here. Notice down in the lower left-hand corner, it says first pick select element to be coped. Perfect. We're going to select our beam.
